                          VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

                          Father's Day  Book Store Gift Wrapping
                                          

Join us for the Father's Day Gift Wrap project (and, by the way, thanks to the volunteers who wrapped gifts for Mother's Day...we appreciate the generous donations they received).  During the 2007 year-end holiday gift wrapping we were able to raise over $2,000 for HomeSharing!   Many thanks to all the people who have volunteered for this fund raising effort...it's been a wonderful success!

Like before, we'll be wrapping books at Border's in Flemington and Barnes & Noble (on the Somerville Circle) in Bridgewater.  The stores provide gift wrapping supplies and a central location in the store to wrap books and items purchased at the store.  This is a fun and easy way to raise money in addition to a convienent way to spread the word about HomeSharing's services.

                                        2008 ANNUAL PHONATHON

                                      Phonathon was a success!

                                         
Each year HomeSharing conducts a Phonathon to raise money for operating expenses.
This year's Phonathon was a rousing success - we even managed to exceed our fund raising goal!  Dedicated staff, members of the Board of Trustees and many wonderful volunteers gathered at the PeopleCare Center.  Callers were trained and prepared with the necessary materials prior to making calls.  Over 1,000 calls were placed to friends of HomeSharing.

The day was not all work..there was eating, chatting and getting to know new people.  The 
event was catered, compliments of a local, well-known eatery, providing us with plenty of hot,
delicious food (and desserts) to enjoy.

After the big day, there were several, specially scheduled evenings for phonathon volunteers to come in and finish paperwork, follow-up on missed/not-at-home calls, mail literature and receive/process donations.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in this year's Phonathon - it was a tremendous success!  We hope to see you again next year.

4th Annual Summer Picnic

This has become a wonderful summer tradition for participants of HomeSharing and HomeSharing's staff and volunteers.  It gives us all a chance to meet new faces and catch-up with people we've met at other HomeSharing events. 

We provide the Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers and soft drink beverages.  Everyone else contributes a salad, dessert or munchies to keep a small army fed and happy!  What's your specialty? Tell us what you would like to bring.

A letter announcing the picnic date and inviting you to attend will be sent out soon.  Be sure to call us at (908) 526-4663 and let us know if you're coming.
